The wife of the Executive Chairman, Alimosho Local Government, Hajia Kabirat Sulaimon alongside women in Alimosho joined women across the globe to celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day themed #Choosetochalleng.
The event that held at Police college, had women across the state and the number one citizen of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu in attendance.
The wife of the Governor,Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-olu in her address urged her female folks “my dear women, I urge everyone of us to take our individuals and collective destinies in our hands. Let us not stop at “talk the talk” because it is time to “walk the walk”.
Hajia Sulaimon in her remarks encouraged women to choose to challenge the status quo, and change the narratives. She said, “we have the potential to make powerful contribution to human existence”.
The theme of this year’s event was “Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a covid-19 world”.
