The Alimosho Youth Development Association of Nigeria {AYDAN] on Sunday carried out what may be termed an oversight function on the activities so far in 100 days in office of the newly elected executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi at it grilled Eniola Badmus its Chief Press Secretary.
The exercise which was via a social medium platform offered members of the group and their guest the opportunity to interact on issues bordering around the LCDA, it could be recalled that AYDAN had earlier notified the public through its press release on its plans to providing oversight functions and mediating between the political officers and electorates.
The engagement with the Chief Press Secretary of Igando-Ikotun LCDA ranks first on this scale as he {CPS} presented what may be termed score card of his principal in 100 days in office which was followed with questions for clarifications where necessary.
Top of the list include Cleaning and repositioning Igando-Ikotun LCDA for economic viability, renovation Igando Ikotun LCDA Primary Heath Center that was raised down during #Endsars protest await Commissioning in few days, Ategbo Primary school Ikotun which was met in a deplorable stage was raised down and currently under renovation with other 2 Schools in Same Compound and one in Egan, Empowered Igando Ikotun LCDA Residents by giving cash donations to the senior citizens in the LCDA and Youths numbers of beneficiary unknown, the construction of Egan –Drainage, Free ICT Training to Pupils, Setting up Traffic Committee for easy movement of Vehicle’s and acquisition of 2 Plots of Land for Isheri -Oshun Community School.
While members were certified on some of the achievements and missions, however there were queries on the manners some of the activities were carried out; such as the ICT training and its cash empowerment program.
Furthermore it queried the financial viability of the LCDA in executing some of projects owing to its financial position after the exit of the immediate past administration which the aide admitted is tough yet manageable through the wealth of experience of the Chairman.
The Association advised the Chairman to adopting a more proactive and cost effective ways of motivating its workforce considering its financial position and obligations.
