Passion is said to be one of the driving forces toward achieving ones dreams and aspirations; this applies to Miss Adedolpa Florence Adeyemi, a graduate of Microbiology and the Creative Director of Dfa_Apparel, a fashion design outfit specialized in Bespoke designs and tailoring.
Dolapo as fondly addressed confirm that her venturing into the fashion industry was scorched from her age long passion as a kid; having wished making her clothing, this steered her to learning the vocation while undergoing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ibadan, Oyo State in 2017.
She dismissed intention of making a carrier out of fashion earlier but that changed when her friends started patronizing her and led her to proceed for more tutorage on fashion in August 2019.
Today, it has become a profession as she has remained consistently focused in delivering quality products and services to her clienteles.
She sees Dfa_Apparal brand as a platform for empowering the female folks having trained several and still counting and also adopting technology in training more through her online classes as she aspires her brand becoming a top fashion brand in Nigeria in a short while with her plans of owning a fashion school towards empowering more younger girls.
She recounts that despite her giant strides, pricing and power supply have remained huge challenges; which is perhaps attributable to the dwindling purchasing power and the epileptic power supply in Nigeria and not peculiar to her business. This has resulted to additional costs and delays in production as her outfit is equipped with modern electric machines.
She is grateful to God and her parents for their uncommon supports that include the provision of her machines, space and others.
Despite the strides achieved so far Miss Adeyemi says she would have returned back to school furthering her studies but for the pandemic.
She advises graduates to be patient, hardworking, and consistent putting God first in all their endeavors while urging them to look inward towards wealth creation other than waiting on uncertainties of job seeking.
