Dancing Makes Me Happy – Cver-Jay

Juliet Oluwanifemi Ajisafe aka Cver-Jay may not be a popular name in the entertain- ment industry yet; but she is obviously getting ready to storm the industry with her steps and hits. The young talented dancer and musician who hail from Akoko, Ondo State said that she is working hard to make a big mark in the entertainment industry in Nigeria and even beyond.
When e-Alimosho caught up with the Big Girl as professionally addressed; she took us through her experience, challenges and honours so far, read on. Cver-Jay is the first child of family of six, born about two decades ago, she said dancing has been part and parcel of her life, she has become a professional dancer for about five years running in her words she said this has not been a smooth as it seems today as she recounts her ordeal from her parents who had wanted her to drop the idea of dancing, which she resisted and after a while they realised her determination and commitment towards her dream, they decided to support her. On her choice of dance (Break- Dance) which seems old fashioned, she said she took to break-dance after the Battle of the Year in 2012 an event that promotes break dance.
When asked on her experience so far she said that she is grateful to God for His mercies, though acknowledging the fact that she has not been able to feature in most of the major events but she is thanking God for the grace so far, she won Miss Best Dancer 2012 of NTC and Miss Neo-Victory College 2012 and a participant of the Wajo event. Cver-Jay said she has a single titled “Spend Your Money” and that she is working on another single. She said she has been able to work with various dance groups among are Mix Crew,Street Wizzard etc before opting to go solo.
She also said her role models have been Big Girl Jilou (A Dancer), Tiwa Savage and Chris brown. When asked on her plans for her future especially as regards education she said that she hopes to gain admission into a university soon to study banking and finance.
