Alimosho Youth Development of Nigeria (AYDAN) a non-political youth group that serves as an advocate for good governance, youth empowerment and community development has applauded the initiative of the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Honorable Pharm. Mrs Akinbile Uzamat aka “Moremi of our time” on her timely initiative on educational empowerment in Alimosho LGA under her brain child project- The Goodwill Project for the past four years and still running.
The initiative which saw the commissioner distributed educational materials estimated to have run into millions of Naira which included school bags and stationary to primary and schools. Speaking to our correspondent the group’s president Comrade Ogungbade Olawale said that this is what representative is all about; driving down the dividends of democracy to the grassroot, he reiterated that the Commissioner has not only done this to Alimosho but to all the nooks and crannies of Lagos State. He further stated that “these donations could not have come at any better time than now and will surely relieve parents of these costs; especially at this time that the purchasing power of every Nigerian has nosedived.
The event which took place at Glorious Event Center in Agbado-Okeodo LCDA in Alimosho LGA on the 13th of July, 2017, had in attendance dignitaries from all works of life and party leaders in Alimosho. Comrade Ogungbade Olawale expressed gratitude to the commissioner on behalf of the association.
