Alimosho Youth Development Association of Nigeria (AYDAN), in line with its mandate of promoting unity, peace and ensuring development through humanitarian services, today Wednesday 11th of March 2019, recognized and rewarded Rotarian. Taiwo Abiodun Lasisi, the leader of the house, Egbe-Idimu LCDA, in Alimosho local government, for his excellence humanitarian service and impact on the society.

Consequent upon a painstaking critique of Hon. Taiwo Abiodun Lasisi’s outstanding support to the less privileged in and around his immediate constituency, it became incumbent upon AYDAN in line with its resolve to encourage sustained service to humanity to recognize this distinguished Public Servant, Hon.Taiwo Abiodun Lasisi, a rotatrian and The President Elect of Rotary Club of Egbe who also doubled as the Leader of the fourth legislative house of Egbe-Idimu LCDA in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos, for his great contributions to the Educational Sector and Community Development.
It is hoped that by this award of excellence, Hon. Taiwo Abiodun Lasisi, will be spurred to do more in the path of service for the good of humanity.
Rotarian Hon. Taiwo Lasisi Abiodun was born in Lagos State on 26th December, 1973 into the family of Late Pa Jimoh-Taiwo Ibejusi Osegbere Ajobiare in Lagos State.
He began his elementary education at the African Church Primary School Odan Abuja, Ogun state in 1981 before proceeding to Maale Comprehensive High School Igbesa Ogun State. He also attended the Lagos State University where he badged a degree in Public Administration.
He is a politician of high repute; he became LGA Financial Assistant to the then Alimosho Youth Mainstream (AYM) in 2001, the Personal Assistant to the supervisor for works and infrastructure in 2001 and served on the same strength with the supervisor for health/environment and Agric, rural and social development in 2002 respectively, under the supervision of Otun Oba Ashimiyu Olorunfemi, the present Elegbe of Egbe.
He was appointed as coordinator Alimosho Democrats cooperative of Egbe-Idimu chapter in 2005 under the platform of Alliance for Democracy (AD) before being appointed as Special Assistant to the chairman of Egbe-Idimu LCDA in 2010.
In 2011, he became a lawmaker, deputy leader of the house and chairman, house committee on works, housing and infrastructure of the 3rd legislative arm in Egbe-Idimu LCDA on the platform of Action Congress(AC), he got reelected to represent Ward D (Egbe-Agodo) under All Progressive Congress (APC) and emerged as leader of the house in 2017. As honorable councillor , he sponsored Bye-Laws and passed over 50 resolutions with 165 official plenary sessions. He is the initiator of “WeCare” in the 4th legislative arm.
As a result of his deep grassroot commitment and believe in humanitarian services and love for his native land which is evident through his regular empowerment and poverty alleviation schemes like distribution of tricycles, grinding machines and more to the community.
He is the President Elect, Rotary Club of Egbe and Member of Same Prestigious worldly known Humanitarianism Association ( ROTARY) he co initiated the construction and laying of block for a urinary System for Community Primary School Egbe, tree Planting for the benefits of environs, and the construction of 10 block of toilet at Ore-Ofe Primary School, Egbe.
He was conferred with a chieftaincy title (Mogaji Osegbere of Egbe Kingdom) by HRM Oba Ashimiyu A.A. Dada-Otta, Elegbe of Egbe Kingdom.
As a Socialite, he is a member of the Esa Club of Egbe, he is also a proud member of the Rotary International, District 9110, Rotary Club of Egbe.
He is a member of School Base Management Committee (SBMC), Community Primary School Egbe Lagos State and member of Annual Inter-House Sport PATRON.
A devout Muslim, who aside from being committed to various works of humanity, also understands the importance of spiritual balance; thus he is very involved and committed to the Almighty. He has being the Chairman Executive Council of Egbe Central Mosque since 2012.
He is a leader who having discovered himself and purpose for living is greatly committed to exploring and expressing himself to the glory of God and his benefit of mankind.
He bagged the Alimosho Man of the Year 2019 on the category of youth development.
He is married to Mrs Latifat Adenike with three children.
