The 12th Anniversary service, graduation and prize giving ceremony of Kings Field School was held on the 1st July 13, 2017 in the school premises in Williams Layout Akowonjo, Lagos. The event was themed Education towards Greater Heights. The annual event was to send forth granduands in the upper primary and nursery pupils respectively.
The anniversary had in attendance dignitaries and well-wishers, among were Mr George Ikemefuna, Director of Good Life Bakery Lagos who was the chairperson of the occasion, Mrs Juliana Oboh, Executive Director of Duty Bond Projects Lagos, Mrs Oluremi Omowhara CEO of Square Dot, Candy Cakes and Director of Lagos State Exam Board, Mrs Bolanle Fanimo.
The event showcased different activities like choreography, Ballet presentation, Bata dance, drama presentation, instrumental and special dance, poems and articles recitation, educative talk show and lots more.
The Proprietress of the school, Mrs Evelyn Adewusi said in her speech that she will continue to strive in making sure the school maintains good educational standards, she also confessed that the school has achieved a lot of success in the last twelve years; adding that most of the pupils who graduated from King Field school are today in the higher institutions while some are already exceling at their works in both public and private sectors. She encouraged the grandaunts to borrow a leaf from them and remain focused and determined.
The chairman, Mr George Ikemefuna’s opening remark was centered on the fact that the school has all it takes to provide quality education because it has a large conducive environment for learning and teaching and playing equipment to facilitate quick learning process. The Head Teacher Mrs Helen Adewunmi commended the effort of the teachers and the entire school management for their co-operation and dedications in promoting quality education.
Mrs Bolanle Fanimo, the Assistant Director of Education, Lagos State Exam Board thanked the school and the visionary leadership for their consistency in ensuring the pupils gets quality education that will take them to greater heights of their career. In her lecture, she advised parents not to relent in their effort to train up their children by giving them good education and training.
The main ceremony for the graduating pupils was led by Canon J.K Iroko, Vicar of the African Church Emmanuel Paris Ogba, the officiating minister prayed with all the granduands and declared that they will all succeed and become fruitful in life.
At the tail end of the programme, several awards/prizes were presented to the most outstanding pupils in various subjects and pictures were taken by their parents. The vote of thanks was led by Mrs Joy Attah, a Chairperson of the school planning committee.
