Who is Afraid of Hakeem Muri- Okunola 1?

The social media has been agog in the recent days with speculations of the replacement of Mr.Babajide Sanwo-Olu with Mr.Hakeem Muri-Okunola in the race to occupying the Lagos House effective May 29th, 2023.

For obvious reasons it seems that some quarters are already frightened about 2023.

Lagosians now know better and know what they have missed in him; Ambode, hence the questions now should be; can we sustain it?

Truly, those that kill with cutlass do not allow one go behind them with one. One may wonder why the skepticisms; in 2019 Mr. Sanwo Olu was the beneficiary of what seem like a political coup de ta that saw an incumbent governor overthrown by his political party in the state of Lagos. There is therefore the need for him and his supporters to be worried about his next political move or will karma be catching up with us in just four years.

Anyways, your major concern now is to evaluate if you have been a good party man unlike Ambode as quoted by Jagaban ” he has done very well but has failed as a party man”.

With the APC already shredded into million folds in Lagos state and Nigeria at large under your leadership; would you say you have been a good party man?

If the answer is yes, then note that lagosians are still awaiting for genuine answers or better still an apology on the incident of 20:10:2020 at Lekki toll gate which seem to have been swept under the carpets despite the report of the panel constituted by your humble self, the collapse of the Ikoyi 21 storey building, the increased rate of robbery even in traffic are others where you may have failed you as Lagos man rather than a party man.

Lagosians are obviously better informed of the Lagos politics and the factions in your party is further helping to expose more details, hence the usual ways of getting the election figures may drifting into the hands of electorates. If Mr Ambode decides to take another shot at his former office Lagosians may be sympathetic to his plight having been vindicated.

In all fairness to your party and in my thinking, it really won’t be a bad idea to shop for a new man as your mandate to completing the eight years representation of Epe district may have been achieved.

Hence if those that used you feel the way most Lagosians feel, the guess might favour having a fresher and the current head of service as the new man for the job in a complete gentleman like Hakeem Muri-Okunola.

Howbeit,i remind you not to go to bed or be swayed by your recent endorsement of the highest decision making body in Lagos state – GAC as such could be withdrawn once you fail to meet your set targets when reviewed by the boss.

Just to remind you, in 2018 when all the elected political stooges endorsed Ambode with a slogan “Ambo le kan si” am sure you may have equally sang the same song before the chess master picked you for the dirty job.

Candidly, my advice is for you to focus and complete the four years without much worry about the next term for now as we are busy with the Nigerian project 2023 and will surely come back to decide, also never fail to advice your support groups not to start the le kan si thing to avoid any wahala and be cautious that MC Oluomo is now in charge of Lagos chapter of NURTW; hence it won’t be a problem to Marshall his boys for another direct primary to execute the decision of the party leader (s).

    Lagos is watching!
