Vetland secondary school Emerges Winner in the Alimosho LG/ AEI Quiz Competition

Vetland secondary school yesterday emerged the winner of the Alimosho LG and Academic Excellence Initiative Scholars Day quiz competition 2019. The prize money for the winner include two tablets, a trophy, two medallion and cash of two hundred and fifty thousand Naira donated by Executive chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon.

The quiz which was based on three core subjects including English language, Mathematics and Civic Education saw Vetland Secondary School come tops at the end of the event. The chief host and the executive chairman of Alimosho LG, Hon. Jelili used the occasion advocates for the digitalisation of school syllabus to meet the demand of the 21st century. He said “the state government should move towards digitalization of our primary and secondary school syllabus so that their knowledge base will meet the 21st century requirement” .

The Scholars’ day which is a yearly event was organized by Academic Excellence Initiative and featured students from various secondary schools. With the theme Digital Transformation Trends in Education which was discussed by Mr. Odusami Agbolade While Mr. Yusuf Jimoh Aweda spoke on Cybercrime.

Dignitaries at the event include Mrs Tope Mark Odigie, Co-Host of Your View on TVC, Dr. Prince Francis Origa and Alhaji Yisa Yusuf among others
