The City Changers Zonal Headquarters of The Redeemed Christian Church of God Lagos Province 27 holds its annual praise concert tagged 36 Hours of Praise. The event which will feature top artists in the gospel music like Tope Alabi, Bro Olumide Bankole, and the City Changer Choir among others will hold at the Church premises on 79, Okunola Road, in Mosan-Okunola LCDA. The event earlier scheduled for Saturday July 22 and Sunday July 23, 2017 and had to be moved back to Friday July 21 to July 23rd, 2017 due to the Local government elections and other church events that will not permit its postponement.
Speaking to our correspondent on the alterations on the dates, the Chairman organising committee Bro Gbenga Aiyeremi said the event will now kick off at 9:00 pm on Friday up till 6:00am on Saturday with a break to allow members exercise their civic rights of casting their votes in the local government election and recommences at 4pm through 7pm on Sunday. The 36 hours of Praise is the vision of the Zonal Pastor Rotimi Oloruntoba which serves as thanksgiving to the Almighty God culminating another calendar year of Redeemed Christian Church of God.
This year ‘s edition represents the fourth edition of this great event that started four years with 12 hours and consistently grown to 15 hours and 24 hours in 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively. The event is also an avenue for evangelism and to reach out to others who are not members of the Redeemed family as it’s an interdenominational event with provision for welfare for attendees. In a bid to add colours to the event members are encouraged to wear their customised T-shirts all through the event. The Alimosho Mail shall be on ground to get highlights of this glorious event.
