The biggest electric distribution company- Ikeja Electric has continued with its sensitisation of residents of its network covering areas on the need to make safety a priority especially as it relates to electrical installations.
In its recent campaign via its official and verified X handle, the electric giant saw the need to notify residents on the need to apply the recommended spaces to its transformers, noting that these installations snap from time to time resulting to electrocution; hence the need to stay at least 20 feet from transformers.
The message reads:”it is important to exercise caution around power lines, as they could snap and cause electrocution.
Please observe the recommended distance of 20 feet/5.5 meters from transformers, power lines, and major power supply equipment”.
Ikeja electric, as a safety oriented company both at workplaces and around its installations is enjoining its millions customers in prioritising safety.
It has in previous campaigns advised on the need of its customers to always insist only on certified electricians in the case of repairs to electrical faults and also to promptly reach out through its various platforms in the event of damage.
