    Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire

The pivotal role Alimosho LGA plays in political landscape of Lagos state and Nigeria at large can never be over emphasized; yet it has remained neglected from what rightfully should be accruing to the most populated local government in West Africa owing to its failures of providing right political leadership for many years.

A people well-endowed with men and women of substance in divers sphere of the economy and society; yet have remained in the biblical wilderness for failure of leadership, the awareness for a new way of doing thing had started by Shakiru Alabi Balogun aka SAB but most unfortunately he could not achieve his course before he was snatched away by the cold hands of death,

Most recently, the campaign for a new leadership swept through the entire nook and crannies of Alimosho and resulted in breaking the ruling party (APC) into factions as many seek to liberate it from the old ways of dealings.

Many believed that the leadership has consistently failed in its selection of political officers which has kept this LGA embedded with intellectuals in its shadows; from the LG/LCDA Chairmen most of who were imposed on the people by its leadership who have remained failures in office with no meaningful achievements to account for their representation; the members of the state house of assembly have remained elusive in delivering the much anticipated dividends of democracy to its constituents. The worst of them all are its representatives in the National Assembly.

With the successful hosting of constituency meeting under the leadership of the Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefilure it’s a new dawn for Alimosho LGA, as it has finally gotten a round peg for all the round holes in Alimosho political space.

Princess Orelope, former deputy governor Lagos state and currently the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Sustainable Developmental Goals [SDGs} has demonstrated her quest to according Alimosho a befitting leadership that will reposition this great LGA for development; she has used her office in affecting her constituents through several developmental projects that include road constructions amongst others.

With her exalted position and past experiences, Alimosho may have finally found its missing link to attracting major developmental projects from higher levels with an end to the puppets in power answerable only to their master at the expense of its teaming populace.
