In a remarkable stride towards unity and solidarity, the Piece of Peace Women Leadership Initiative, a non-governmental organization committed to fostering positive change, held its first-ever physical meeting for the year 2024. The event, which took place on Saturday, saw a robust turnout of members who convened to strengthen bonds, discuss initiatives, and plan for the promising year ahead.
Addressing the assembly, Mrs. Chioma Augustina Eze, the State Coordinator for FCT, expressed gratitude to the attendees for their enthusiastic participation. She urged members to stay dedicated to the objectives of Piece of Peace Initiative, emphasizing the importance of unity in realizing the organization’s mission.
The President and co-founder of Piece of Peace Women Leadership Initiative Amb. Mrs. Agnes Hossana Ajibade, conveyed her sentiments through the FCT coordinator. She commenced by expressing gratitude for the gift of life that ushered the organization into the new year. Mrs. Olajide extended appreciation to all members and executives for their unwavering commitment to the cause, highlighting the success of the 2023 end-of-year get-together as a testament to the collective love within the Piece of Peace family worldwide.
To further fortify the bonds and inclusivity within the organization, the decision was made to conduct monthly physical meetings. This platform aims to engage members who may not be active on social media and promote a sense of belonging and involvement. Mrs. Ajibade stressed the responsibility of each member to act as a positive ambassador for both the Piece of Peace Initiative and Nigeria, wherever they may find themselves.
“While we eagerly await the UAAG disbursement, remember, it’s just the beginning of greater things to come, not the end,” Mrs. Ajibade emphasized. She encouraged members to plan wisely for the future, viewing the disbursement as a precursor to even more substantial benefits.
In addition, members were invited to participate in the Valentine’s Suya-Spree, a nationwide celebration of love towards humanity. Mrs. Ajibade urged members to extend a helping hand to those in need, emphasizing that such acts contribute to personal growth and create a spiritual security against evil.
Mr. Okechukwu Eze, the FCT patron of the Piece of Peace Women Leadership Initiative, provided valuable insights into financial planning for the upcoming grants. Stressing the significance of careful planning, he urged members to consider investments, health insurance, and support for the FCT secretariat. Mr. Eze underlined that the grants represent only a fraction of the substantial benefits awaiting members.
