In a recent interview with News Central, Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate and former Governor of Anambra State, revealed his willingness to collaborate with other politicians, including Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), but only under certain conditions.

Obi emphasized that any collaboration must prioritize improving the lives of citizens, particularly lifting people out of poverty and ensuring no child is left behind. He stated, “I’m ready to collaborate with anyone interested in making a positive impact, but not for personal gain or election wins.”

Regarding a potential vice presidential role, Obi said he would consider it only if someone else could do the job better than him. He clarified, “I’m not desperate to be president; I’m desperate to see Nigeria succeed. If I find someone who can do it better, I’ll support them.”

Obi reaffirmed his commitment to the Labour Party, stating he has no plans to leave and will only consider collaborations that align with his values. His conditions for accepting a vice presidential role in 2027 are clear: prioritizing the well-being of citizens and ensuring a positive impact.
