… Orders KAI, Neighborhood Safety Corps and LAWMA Monitoring Gang to arrest offenders
Following the effects of flood last Sunday with pictures of its havoc in parts of the state trending on the social media , the state government has charged residents within locations of canals and drainage systems to take charge of monitoring towards ensuring an end to indiscriminate dumping of refuse into those canals and drainages.
The government has further directed men of Neighborhood Safety Corps, Kick Against Indiscipline to join hands with members of Lagos State Waste Management Authority ( LAWMA) Monitoring Gang in apprehending defaulters for prosecution.
The government has continued the distilling of some drainages across the state in a bid to checking this year’s flood as the rainy season takes effect while efforts are in place to complete the ongoing construction works on some of the canals across the state in a good time.
