In a heartwarming journey down memory lane, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefuilere, the SSA to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, recently embarked on a nostalgic visit to her alma mater, St. Joseph Secondary School in Idi Mangoro, Agege, Lagos State. The occasion was the celebration of the school’s founders’ day organized by the Global Alumni Association Members.
As Princess Adejoke stepped onto the familiar grounds of her school, she was greeted with cultural displays and warm smiles, befitting her status as a Princess and former Deputy Governor of Lagos State. The atmosphere buzzed with a sense of pride as the Global Alumni Association gathered to celebrate their shared history and contributions to society.
In her welcome remarks, Princess Adejoke paid tribute to the founders who had passed away, calling for a minute of silence. Her heartfelt warmth extended to her colleagues, as she emphasized the importance of collaboration and hard work in the collective pursuit of making Nigeria a better place.
Acknowledging the government’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, she stressed the need for all citizens to actively contribute to the nation’s growth. The Alumni Members, she assured, would unite in their efforts to contribute meaningfully to the development of their beloved nation.
Princess Adejoke’s outstanding achievements and role model status were not overlooked during her visit, as she was honored with the title of Outstanding Personality in recognition of her accomplishments. This acknowledgment reinforced the importance of leadership and positive impact in society, highlighting her as an exemplary Ambassador of St. Joseph’s Secondary School.
The program continued with the unveiling of the School Compendium, and Princess Adejoke showed her unwavering support by making a generous donation. Among the esteemed guests were former principals and teachers, including Mrs. Jibowu and Mr. Samuel Ogunyemi. Distinguished personalities, such as Mrs. Erogbogbo, the School’s Proprietor, the Vice Chairmen of Alimosho Local Government and Ipaja-Ayobo LCDA, and Chief Akin Bashiru, former South-West Nigeria Representative on the Board of National Bureau of Statistics, added prestige to the occasion.
