HRM Oba Babatunde Akanbi Ogunrobi the reigning Oba of Shasha kingdom is appealing to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode not to forget the roads in his Shasha community as he promised under his community development project, the Oba stated this during our courtesy visit to his palace under construction at Ajako area of Shasha. He said the previous government made effort to construct some of the major roads in the community connecting Bameke Road Oguntade Street up to the Coker Estate/Air force Base junction which were awarded to an indigenous construction company for construction during the last regime but only to be abandoned by the contractor. In his words he said that if the roads were completed it would have improved the living standard of residents from their current state and also would have attracted more development within the Shasha community, this was also observed by our team as the drive to his palace was not a smooth one.
When our correspondent asked him on the development on his legal tussle over his thrown, he said that courts are meant for aggrieved to approach for redress as he said it’s a norm that people should always embrace in settling disputes. Also on the disputed land of Ilupeju estate and environs he also said that the matter has been before his reign and also in court as such would not want to comment on it. Before our departure he did not fail to bless our team and some of his cabinet members present.
