The administration of Hon. Jelili Sulaimon has commenced the rehabilitation of Akowonjo road and others, over the months motorists plying the ever busy Akowonjo road have been greeted with untold hardship owing to its degenerated condition which has contributed to heavy gridlocks during the rush hours as motorists struggle to man over the numerous gullies.
It will be recalled that The Alimosho Mail Newspaper had tweeted through its official handle @thealimoshomail earlier this week on the traffic which may has prompted the urgent response of the local government led by Hon. Jelili Sulaimon to commence urgent rehabilitation along with other other ongoing constructions cum rehabilitation of its inner roads such as the reconstruction of drainages on BenEsther and Azeez Ayorind streets while pledging the completion of ongoing Jimoh and Victoria streets projects.
To further check the perennial flooding affecting the local government the administration has fulfilled its promise of acquiring an excavator as earlier promised by the Executive Chairman to aid the excavation of blocked drainages.
The supervisor for Work and Vice Chairman, Hon. Prince Adebisi Francis assured resident of commencement of all bad roads in Alimosho to ease movement vehicular movement within the LG. He added that “the rain is over and we are set to commence road rehabilitation. We have identified streets and roads for rehabilitation, contractors will move to sites in earnest”.
Motorists and other road users are enjoined to cooperate with the administration by making use of alternative routes while the exercise last.
