Hmmmm! Curtains! Curtains!! (I Must Make Her Happy, so help me God!)
Got a commendation this morning.
While she steps in for the morning devotion…
Wife: Who drew the curtains
Husband: (quiet waiting for a verdict), but…
Children: It’s Daddy!
Wife: Chéri (darling name) you did it very well
Husband: (on a lighter mood; while sitting down, looked at his young men who smiled while receiving a wink of eye-contact from their smiling daddy for excellently passing mummy’s test)
*BUT: Wife: (walks towards the window) Let me do the ones by the window.
…..hahahaha! almost spending a greater part 25yrs in marriage to learn: (1). How to draw the curtains; (2). How to do it well to please my wife and make her happy, and (3). That her knowledge of it, the excellent ways of getting some things done in proper ways-proof of praise for/from her late Mum was worth it after all!
GROWTH IN MARRIAGE IS CONTINUOUS
No one can really know all about marriage before entering in. Theory is very sweet, but marriage holds practical digestion that could either be made sweeter, beneficial or cancerous, depending on the attitude couples allow to dominate them. Marriage is the only school you enrol in once to attend all the various courses ranging from strife to patience; lack to plenty; sickness to health; good in-laws palaver, etc. The degree courses to bag are unending. But, suffice me to say, that great truth is always learnt more especially from the tougher courses. And only those who catch it on time and harness it while they are still in the journey, can say like apostle Paul; “the things I suffered have happened for the furtherance of the gospel.”
Those who remain babily married have too much hurting experiences. To grow in your marriage and enjoy great returns of peace, always endeavour to make your spouse happy first.
