The residents of Remi Akande street, Alimosho Local Government heave a sigh of relief on Friday as the community received a new transformer from the government under the ward projects initiative of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The community which has suffered epileptic power supply due to lack of transformer appreciated the efforts of both the state and local goverments.

The secretary of the Landlord Association, Mr Richard Apata said “today is a great day in our lives. Before now, it’s been so hectic for business owners using electricity to render services to people, sleeping at night has been difficult especially during the heat season.”

Mr Apata reiterated that “this government has shown its responsiveness to the plight of its citizenry by fulfilling this promise, initially; when we were told of getting a new transformer, we doubted it, but today, we have all realized that our governments are in tune with our plights”.

On his part, a party and also a community leader, Elder Juwan Akinlaja noted; “today is one of the happiest day in this environment because of what the Governor has done for us. He made a promise and has fulfilled it”. He used the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of the Executive Chairman and Alimosho Hon. Jelili Sulaimon.

The delivery was witnessed by several members of the community including party leaders, S.A. Agric to Alimosho Local Government, Alhaji Adedapo among others.
