Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Tuesday unanimously suspended Honourable Sulaimon Jelili the Executive chairman of Alimosho LG with two of his colleagues of Lekki LCDA and Surulere LG.
The house said it could no longer continue to watch while the council chairmen stubbornly flout the state’s local government guidelines.
Shortly after deliberations members of the House unanimously through voice vote approved their suspension. There are speculations that Jelili’s suspension may be connected to issues bordering on mismanagement of the council’s funds.
It could be recalled that he had been invited to answer questions bordering on contracts in the past by the House of Assembly though the statement released did not state reasons in details but speculators are pointing to that investigation that has been on in the last seven months.
