The saying that says “uneasy lies the head that wears the crown” seems quite suitable to describe the present atmospheres of Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola aka Yayi, a two term senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, the most populated senatorial district in Nigeria with an estimated demography of well over twelve million spanning across Lagos’ ten most densely populated local government areas [Oshodi-Isolo, Agege, Ikeja, Ojo, Alimosho etc.]
Having represented the most populated federal constituency [Alimosho} in the House of Representative prior to his elevation to the senate, earned by his outstanding performance that saw his popularity grew beyond the shores of Alimosho LGA; as good as that may have looked to his numerous supporters and the entire Lagos West Senatorial District; otherwise scenery for Yayi as his political progression saw him representing populations far above several states in Nigeria; yet he has to cope with same allowance as of his colleagues with lesser LGA’s and population in their districts.
Yet as gritty as he remains, Senator Adeola’s combination of his experiences both in the private and political sectors especially with his financial management background as a Fellow of the revered Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria {ICAN} has seen his emergence as one of the best performing senators of the 9th Assembly.
