Nigeria’s independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the postponement of the Presidential poll earlier scheduled to hold today Saturday 16th February. In a statement signed by Professor Mahmood Yakubu and attached below, the commission admitted to having logistics challenges in its preparation for the election.
The honourable Chairman of the commission also briefed newsmen on the postponement saying new dates; 23rd February, 2019 for Presidential and National Assembly while the Governorship, State House of Assembly and the FCT Area Council Elections will hold on 9th March, 2019.
