The Alimosho Mail Newspaper authoritatively  confirmed that after days of throwing its consumers under Alaja 1 transformer in Great Harmony CDA in Ayobo area of Alimosho LGA into darkness for an alleged outstanding bills; members of Ikeja Electric today embarked on house to house debt collection which poses as an after thought of its earlier decision on unloading the aforementioned transformer thereby throwing both its creditors and debtors consumers into darkness.

Though the company still maintained that it never unloaded any transformer under its network covering areas as it claimed that the transformer is faulty and as a result of the huge outstanding the request for materials for it repairs was turned down at its head officedue to the observed outstanding . According to its staff who pleaded anonymity for not being in position to speak for IE who noted that the disco is not in the habit of unloading any of its transformers as been peddled by the residents, she also stated that Ikeja Electric is yet to resume work fully hence the usual method of disconnection would have been adopted. Meanwhile another staff when asked if power will be restored to the community after the house to house debt collection exercise confirmed in affirmative.

With the residents already on day six of the power outage, the community will still be hoping for power restoration going into the weekend as some residents were seen making payments as the disco team was led by one of the executives of the CDA and the marketer in charge of the community ( name withheld). A resident who complained bitterly over the discos action and demanded the disco to apologise for its action against him and other residents who are not owing and those on prepaid metres, the question may remain unanswered for now as the staff on the exercise lack such power to attend to his quest.
