    Ikeja Electric

In a remarkable stride towards delivering unparalleled services to its esteemed customers, Ikeja Electric, Nigeria’s leading energy distribution company has achieved a significant milestone with the initiation of the Token Identification (TID) rollover on November 17th, 2023. This groundbreaking move is part of the company’s commitment to leveraging innovation and technology to enhance the functionality of its meters and ensure an optimal experience for its customers.

The TID rollover is in compliance with the global software upgrade affecting Standard Transfer Specification (STS) prepaid meters worldwide. Ikeja Electric, renowned for its innovation-driven approach, went live with seamless solutions designed to facilitate this strategic transition.

According to Kingsley Okotie, Head of Corporate Communications at Ikeja Electric, customers who have linked their meters to their National Identification Number (NIN) and make their first vend/purchase from November 17th, 2023, onward will receive two sets of tokens (KCTs) in addition to their regular energy token upon purchase.

To make the most of this exciting upgrade, customers are encouraged to follow three simple steps:

Punch in the first set of a 20-digit token and press “enter” to reset their meter.
Enter the second set of a 20-digit token and press “enter” to complete the meter upgrade.
Finally, load their energy token as usual.
“We understand the importance of ensuring the security and authenticity of our customers,” Okotie emphasized, urging customers yet to link their National Identification Number (NIN) to do so at www.smartkyc.ikejaelectric.com. He reassured customers that this one-time upgrade will not affect existing units on the meter, guaranteeing continued seamless energy transactions.

Driven by a mission to redefine customer experience and be the provider of choice wherever energy is consumed, Ikeja Electric, with over 1,200,000 customers, powers lives and businesses with innovation and an unwavering drive for excellence. The company remains committed to serving its customers with a new spirit, new drive, and new energy.

“This initiative aligns with our dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancements to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” Okotie added.

For more information or assistance, customers can contact Ikeja Electric’s customer service hotline at 017000250, 012272940, 012272941, send an email to customercare@ikejaelectric.com, or visit the website at www.ikejaelectric.com.
