The electric distribution giant, Ikeja Electric has urged customers under its network to cultivate the habit of reporting incidents of energy theft/illegal connections through its established whistleblowing platform.
In its campaign tagged “Report and Get Rewarded”, the electric giant urged members of the public to always say something when they see something.
It went further to state different rewards plans ranging from 5-10% of the reconnection fee paid by culprit. 10% for non-MD (residential and SMEs) offenders while 5% for maximum demand ( commercial and industrial).
