The recertification, achieved through an exhaustive review of policies, processes, and procedures, positions Ikeja Electric as a trailblazer in embracing Good International Industry Practices (GIIP). The Integrated Management System collapses various management systems into a single, comprehensive, and harmonized framework, enhancing efficiency, motivating employees, improving document management, and fostering better internal and external communication.

At the presentation ceremony held at the company’s corporate headquarters, Mrs. Folake Soetan, the MD/CEO of Ikeja Electric, expressed her delight at the achievement, emphasizing the company’s unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, stakeholder safety, and overall customer satisfaction.

“Ikeja Electric remains resolute in prioritizing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment in our daily business operations, and this recertification is a testament to our consistent efforts to uphold the highest standards in all we do,” Mrs. Soetan stated.

Engr. Jamiu Badmos, Head of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment, highlighted the significance of the achievement, stating, “This marks a milestone in our journey towards a future that is both technologically advanced and environmentally responsible.” He underscored the company’s commitment to achieving the zero-fatality mandate set by the board and management.

The triple certification covers ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems. Ikeja Electric becomes the first in the industry to achieve such a distinctive feat.
