The biggest electric distribution company, Ikeja Electric Distribution Company (IE) has alerted its customers to disregard any paper based energy bills.
This notice was made through its verified official twitter handle @ikejaeletric.
It would be recalled that the company in demonstrating its leadership in the energy sector moved its billing system to automated method where it issues bills to its customers via Shot messages (SMS)and email years ago and recently launched an application that allows customers to monitor their energy consumption.
The energy company is urging its customers to disregard such billing as it does not emanate from it and to continue embracing their genuine billing platforms.
