The Executive Chairman, Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, has commenced the redesigning of the Council Secretariat as part of efforts to ensure workers perform their duties with ease and under a conducive atmosphere.
Akinsanya has approved the redesigning of parts of the Secretariat to serve as parking spaces for staff and visitors alike.
Igando-Ikotun LCDA currently faces challenge with lack of adequate parking space which has adversely affected the commercial activities of the popular Ikotun market a next door neighbour with the secretariat.
The redesigning of the secretariat will not only afford members of staff a conducive environment but will also serve as a source of improved internally generated revenue as it will also provide secured parking spaces for visitors within the LCDA.
Akinsanya also directed that roads within the premises be upgraded to ease vehicular movements.
Comrade Ayinde, former Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) President assured staff and residents of the Council that his administration would ensure better welfare for all.
The Chairman while reiterating his promised of better welfare for staffers, he urged them to rededicate themselves for the development of the council in other to make Igando-Ikotun the pride of Lagos.
