The enviable leadership of Alimosho Local Government led by the Executive Chairman Honourable Jelili Sulaiman is to embark on project light up Alimosho, this was part of the fallout of the just concluded 3 day 2019 executive budget retreat held last week in command area of Alimosho LGA.
Honourable Jelili after deliberations agreed that there is the need to light up Alimosho LG as the project will have a multiple effects on the local government that include increase in economic activities, improving security and ensuring that the roads; streets and communities get adequate power supply as there will be effort to upgrade electrical facilities where necessary.
He emphasized that under the light up Alimosho project efforts will be geared to have all street lights in Alimosho functional and pledged to assist communities with uninstalled transformers installed to ensure adequate power supply. In his words “as part of the fallout from the community stakeholders meeting, we will install transformers for communities that already have one, then fix all street lights in Alimosho Local Government”.
It will be recalled that another decision reached during the 3 day event was to increase the working schedule of revenue collecting officers and appeal on landlord to help his administration build more roads by ensuring prompt payment of their rates which represent her source of revenue for developmental projects.
He reiterated the appeal on residents to ensure their local government rates and levies are promptly paid to give his administration the ability to plan and execute more projects for their benefit.
