Emmanuel Inegbedion, aka Emmygrey, has heated up the gospel music genre with his just-released single titled ‘No Other’ produced by Pro Mix and Magical Andy. Emma, as he is fondly called by his fans and admirers while speaking with our correspondent said his musical career started since childhood as a member of the children’s choir in Church of God Mission International and has continually grown to be what it is today. He also said that his choice of gospel music is based on the fact that gospel songs lift his spirit and that he can only give what he has which is the ministration of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
When asked on the choice of his track title, “No Other” he said that the inspiration behind his single ‘NO OTHER’ represents the efficacy of the name of Jesus, how signs and wonders happen at the mention of that name. He reiterated that it is the only name at which we are saved, the only name that is exalted above every other name at the mention of which every knee bows.
Speaking on his plans ahead, he stated that work is ongoing on another single billed to be released by February 2018, noting that more efforts will be geared towards promoting ‘No Other’ through social media platforms and touring the churches for live performances while the whole album proper is expected to be released later in 2018.
Emmygrey who is combining his music career with his secular job at a foremost seasoning company reliably informed our correspondent on the possibility of quitting his job to concentrate on his music career in the event of not being able to cope with both as he said that the gospel is his call. When asked on his opinion on the activities of most gospel artistes who many believe are mere performers rather than ministers of the gospel he refuted it vehemently noting that there is always a message behind every gospel song like the proverbial saying that connotes “take the message and never mind the messenger”.
For Emmygrey, he believes that the Holy Spirit is his inspiration despite having mentors in the industry who have contributed to his growth. He also hopes to partner some of them in future for a collaboration. When asked for any particular person, he said working with his mentor Donnie Mc Clurkin would be a dream come through. He also looks up to collaboration with Nathaniel Bassey, Tim Godfrey, Sammie Okposo and many others.
Emmygrey, a BA Hons in English graduate from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and an indigene of Edo State is happily married to his beautiful wife and blessed with two lovely sons. He appeals to friends and fans to follow him on his social media platform Instagram on @emmygrey_sings to download the track via shared links while urging for their comments and help to share the links.
For all of us at e-alimosho, we can only wish him the best.
