The wrangling that have lasted almost a year in the Conference 57 CPS may have finally be put to rest as the six CPS of Alimosho LGA have re-joined its larger group. The six CPS stormed out of the main group during the 2019 Conference 57 retreat citing marginalisation by other members.
The decision to re-join its main body was agreed during a virtual meeting held on July 1, 2020 by members of Alimosho CPS with other stakeholders in Conference 57. The meeting had in attendance, CPS 57 Chairman, Oseni Ajimomuya, CPS 57 Deputy Chairman, Ayodele Ayeyemi of Yaba LCDA, CPS of Bariga Local Government, Comrade Akere, CPS of Alimosho Local Government, Ayinde Jamiu and CPS of Igando Ikotun, Comrade Oseni Eniola.
The groups have agreed to work in unity and to avoid matters that will relate to marginalize any group or individuals, this was contained in a release made available to the press titled “the six CPS in Alimosho have reconciled with Conference 57 for the sake of posterity and peace”. This is coming barely a year after the six CPS left the main body during its 2019 Conference 57 retreat.
