In a scathing open letter, Gani Adams, the Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its handling of the economy and security. Adams urged Tinubu to reverse his harsh policies, citing the skyrocketing prices of fuel and the naira’s devaluation.

Adams expressed disappointment in Tinubu’s performance, saying his administration has been “anti-people, unconcerned, and deaf to the agonies of millions of Nigerians.” He highlighted the rising poverty rate, inflation, and unemployment, warning that the situation may trigger further hardship across the country.

The letter also touched on the recent increase in fuel price, calling it “an attack on Nigerians” and “a brutal assault on the sensibility of Nigerians.” Adams questioned the economic briefings Tinubu receives from his ministers, suggesting they may be misleading him.

Adams drew parallels with Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in Germany, warning Tinubu that his authoritarian approach may lead to similar destruction. He concluded by asking Tinubu if his reforms are working and urged him to make a change.

The letter serves as a stern warning to the Tinubu administration, emphasizing the need for a reversal of policies to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.
