As part of efforts by the federal government to ease the suffering of the people sequel by the removal of fuel subsidy, the Executive Chairman Igando Ikotun LCDA Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, has commenced the distribution of grains as palliative measures across 7l Wards of the council.
Akinsanya noted thatched everybody is entitled to this palliative, as it has no political, religious or tribal colouration.
This part of the palliative measures taken by our administration is to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal on the people of Igando-Ikotun and its environs.
These palliatives are food items in different categories, at this time we need to support each other and see ourselves as Nigerians. We are in this together and we will surely come out even stronger. We must ensure, support and love ourselves.
He assured residents of the area that his administration is committed to improving their standards of living while reeling out some of his administration’s projects in the last two years; that includes developmental projects cutting across sectors such as health, education, environment, youth empowerment, and social infrastructure, including road rehabilitation.
He urged for patience with the president on his policies as they geared towards a more better Nigeria.
