The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has undertaken a significant restructuring by appointing new directors for various civil aviation agencies in the country. This move comes a week after the Federal Government dismissed all directors and chief executive officers of these agencies.
In a statement released on Thursday, Odutayo Oluseyi, a spokesman for the ministry, conveyed that these fresh appointments align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu. The affected agencies include the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMET), Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and the Nigeria Safety and Investigation Bureau (NSIB).
The statement indicated that the new directors should contact the Director of the Human Resource Department of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development to collect their appointment letters, as the appointments take immediate effect. Additionally, a new Directorate named Cargo Services has been established at the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria to address challenges within the sector.
