The administration of Hon. Jelili Sulaimon of Alimosho LG and his team have concluded a partnerahip with Cuban government in eradicating malaria in its constituency.
The local government expressed its readiness during a meeting with the Cuban delegates in Lagos recently.
The agreement reached with the delegates include; a one-year training of medical staff of Alimosho, the supply of medical machines and drugs at a subsidised cost and the provision of supports on medical issues.
Others are the eradication of malaria, early cancer detection and its treatment, diabetes control, provision of blood certification kits, screening of infectious disease transmissible from mother to child, stereotactic neurosurgery practices, laboratory diagnostics of infectious disease, early detection of important indicators with dissimilar applications in mother and child among others.
The Cuban primary health care is the most proactive in the world with the antecedents of giving priority to disease prevention.
Parties to this partnership includes Tecnosuma International which has presence in Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, China, Argentina, Colombia, and Venezuela. The company is set to have its presence in Africa with this partnership with Alimosho LGA.
The administration of Hon. Jelili had earlier this year commissioned an ultra modern primary health center with a promise to ensure all the seven wards in Alimosho LG having a befitting health centers.
