Fortune FA have dethroned Lofty Skills SA as they emerge new champions of the U-14 category of the Ozoya Youth
And in the U-16 category, Fortune FA also best Dynamos FC 4-2 on penalties to emerge champions.
The 2022 edition of the Ozoya Youth Cup was concluded as Fortune FA, Oshodi win both categories.
In the U-14 category, the Oshodi based side see off Lofty Skills SA who are the defending champions, with a 17th minute sublime free kick goal from Araromi Quadri.
The goal was enough to decide the encounter after both teams squandered chances in the 2nd half to keep the final result at 1-0 in favor of Fortune FA, Oshodi.
The U-16 final witnessed more heartbreaking as Dynamos FC took the lead through Olabiyi Fawaz, with an outrageous strike after six minutes into the 2nd half, when the Fortune gladiators were hit on a counter.
The game continues with great football artistry shown by both sides, only for Fortune FA to get an equaliser from a well taken free kick by Ayomide Ramon which was saved by the goalkeeper, before Tobiloba Oscar heads in a rebound to keep the game level at 1-1.
That was the final score at regulation time, and the game went into penalties. Fortune FA won 4-2 on penalties to become the U-16 champions after missing out last year to Dannaz FC of Ikeja.
Araromi Quadri won the U-14 MVP, while Olabiyi Fawaz won the U-16 MVP.
The finalists were given cash reward, a giant trophy for winners and medals. As well as kits donated by #Boot4Africa through #Ozoyafootballfoundation.
The boys are excited, as they look to keep pushing forward.
