the Vice Chairman,APC Lagos West,Chief Tunde Aboyade has urged members of the All Progressive Congress Alimosho chapter to disregard any invitation for its Federal Constituency meeting.

In a message made available to journalists through his media team that reads in part.

    Chief Tunde Aboyade

“My attention has been drawn to the purported call for a Federal Constituency meeting summoned by a factional leader of our great party, the APC, in Alimosho Federal Constituency. I have received lots of messages and calls from concerned party members to confirm the call for the meeting.

As the most senior party state officer in Alimosho, I want to categorically state that a call for such meeting did not emanate from my office or the party. It is also pertinent to clarify that the power to call for Federal Constituency meetings is solely vested on the most senior State officer of our dear party; the Vice Chairman, Lagos West APC”,

He cpntinued “I want to appeal to our party members and leaders to disregard the call for such a meeting, at this time, as the intent of such call is still unknown.

The party is yet to constitute its LGA and Ward Excos, and as soon as these lists are released by the State organ of the party, an inaugural meeting of the Wards and LGA meeting would be called by the new Excos of the party.

As the party prepares for its primary elections across the country, we cannot risk creating tension and division within the party”.

The statement also noted that meetings will called for at the appropriate time through a detailed incitation that would pas through the recognised channels to members of our great party as he urges members to stay calm.

The Lagos APC Exco, under the able leadership of Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi is committed to making the party stronger through peace, reconciliation and harmonisation but will not hesitate to deal, squarely with individuals, caucuses or groups that would undermine the supremacy of the party, he concluded.
