The leadership of the Okada riders in Alimosho Local Government on Tuesday in a meeting with the executive chairman Sulaimon Jelili appeal to the government to extend the palliatives to its members as they continue to abide with the stay at home order of the government.
The government had extended their order during the announcement its relaxation on the lockdown imposed on the state towards containing the spread of the CoronaVirus pandemic. In a meeting with the Jelili its leadership made the appeal to ameliorate the hardship its members are enduring with the compliance to the order.
Jelili appreciated their patience and compliance since the commencement of Covid-19 pandemic and reiterated that “all commercial motorcycle operations within the Local Government remain suspended as directed by the state government”.
He also appealed to the youth to cease from playing football and games without adhering to the social and physical distancing and urge all residents to ensure they use facemask while in public.
Amongst those in attendance were the DPOs of Moshalishi Police station and Afonka Police station Messers Sulaimon Kabiru, and Casmir Ihezu respectively who also appealed to the commercial cyclists also known as okada riders to desist from operating within the local government.
