For residents of Graceland, Gloryland and Abule-Odu communities who have been subjected to gross neglect and abandonment by virtual of collapse of all routes into their community that have degenerated to death traps. This has prompted the leadership of Graceland Estate CDA to rise to the occasion of fixing one of the major route to a motor-able state today (Saturday).

Speaking to our correspondent the chairman of the association Otunba Kunle Ericsson said it has become highly expedient to fix the Oduwole road as all efforts to get all respective authorities to fix it have failed hence the need to fix the major entrance into the estate and other communities, noting that they have written to the Chairman Honourable Kunle Olowopejo Sanyaolu to act but to no avail.

He reiterated that the community had to task her residents to contribute monies for the exercise which he said has gulped about N500,000 to date, he said that they had embarked on the project earlier in the year but for the rain that washed it off and lack of more materials to continue then. He said with the raining season coming to an end the community chose to fix this time to get the road repaired.

Mr Ericsson bemoaned the high degree of neglect the communities within the neighborhood are suffering despite being dominated by civil servants and business persons who are legitimate tax payers to both the state and federal government.

He thanked the residents and those that have indicated interest to support the project which will give the community respite from the untold hardship so far. He enjoined the leadership of the LCDA to rise to their responsibility by providing more materials to salvage Oduwole road.

Efforts to get to get the chairman to respond to the issues raised by the community proved abortive as several calls to his line were not answered and sms sent to him was not replied as at time of press.
