A Lagos-bound Air Peace flight experienced a bird strike during takeoff from Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Thursday.
The incident, which occurred at 6:30 a.m., prompted the pilot to return to the ramp as a precautionary measure. All passengers disembarked safely.
According to Ejike Ndiulo, Air Peace’s head of corporate communications, “We deployed a replacement aircraft to minimize disruptions and ensure passengers’ prompt continuation of their journeys.”
