Ayobo Blackout; IE Assures Power Restoration As Faulty “33” Line is Repaired

The biggest distribution company Ikeja Electric has assured power restoration in Ayobo communities as its faulty feeder code name “33” Line has been fixed and loading has gradually commenced to all affected transformers in the Ayobo communities.
Speaking to our correspondent the team lead of it Communities Communication Mr Ayeni Akinola said that the blackout had given the company serious concerns and attracted the presence of its Acting Chief Executive Officer Mrs Folake Soetan to witness cum inspect the repairs on Friday.

Mr Ayeni who spoke with our correspondent on telephone assured that feeding into the affected transformers had commenced and expected to end soon for total power restoration.

He further made clarifications on the position of the company regarding Great Harmony CDA as earlier published on the CDA’s two transformers with one currently under utilized and the other grossly over utilized, he said that IE has approved the load balancing and materials required prior to the stay at home order which affected the carrying out of the exercise as it requires more personnel, however its now a top priority once the lockdown is over as all parties within the CDA have equally been met and agreed for the work to be done.

He appealed for calm while assuring the residents on IE’s commitment to providing topnotch services to consumers under its network as the company hold them to the highest esteem while assuring IE’s commitment to providing uninterrupted services during and after the lockdown.

On the removal of the secretary of the CDA from the WhatsApp platform he absolves IE of such actions noting that the decision is not of the company as the group which he is only a non-admin member has its rules which the action was based on, however the secretary has been added back after temporarily excuses from it. IE has no powers whatsoever over such groups he concluded.
