The North-West youth wing of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised concerns about the escalating cost of living, hunger, and insecurity in the country, particularly in their region. During a Wednesday meeting in Kaduna to assess the affairs of the party and the state of the nation, Abdulhamid Mohammed, the chairman of the North-West APC Youths, called on President Bola Tinubu and the party to address the hardships faced by the masses.
Expressing worry over the soaring prices of food items in the market, Mohammed urged the presidency to take prompt action before the situation worsens. He emphasized that the cost of essential goods is becoming unaffordable for many citizens.
While acknowledging the economic challenges facing the nation, the APC youth group criticized the opposition for solely blaming the present administration, asserting that the difficulties predate the APC-led government. Despite this, the group urged the opposition to collaborate with President Tinubu’s administration in tackling economic crises, security issues, and other socio-economic challenges.
In addition to their concerns, the APC youth wing called on President Tinubu and the ruling APC to actively involve the youth in the governance of the country. This appeal reflects their commitment to fostering inclusivity and ensuring that the younger generation has a role in shaping the nation’s future.
