The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as the Amotekun Corps, has apprehended 21 individuals suspected of various crimes in the state. The suspects were paraded at the Amotekun Corps’ state headquarters in Akure, where Commander Adetunji Adeleye revealed that they included a syndicate that targets commercial motorcyclists and steals their bikes, as well as housebreakers who take advantage of empty homes.
Adeleye cautioned residents to be mindful of their surroundings and avoid using motorcyclists who conceal their faces. Two of the suspects admitted to committing the crimes they were accused of. The commander stated that the suspects would be prosecuted in court following the completion of profiling and investigations.
The arrest of these suspects demonstrates the Amotekun Corps’ commitment to maintaining law and order in Ondo State and ensuring the safety of its residents.
