… Cites Political Party Primaries other as reason
The publishers of The Alimosho Mail Newspapers and Online (www.alimoshomail.com) and the initiators of The Alimosho SME Forum announces the postponement of her event scheduled for October 2nd, 2018. According to statement released after their series of meetings that cites the political activities as reason “it is expedient to postpone the epic event owing to the current political parties primaries commencing this week through next week”.
The publisher Mr Abel Lazarus said their consultations so far revealed that most of the artisans and SMEs operators within the local government will be playing various roles during the primaries especially going by the adoption of direct primaries in Lagos State by the ruling party; hence the need for the postponement. He further stated that the event will be of no essence if the targeted audience are not in attendance noting that the event above all other interest is geared towards attracting and sustaining further development in Alimosho Federal Constituency.
He reiterated that every serious developing economy must empower her SMEs/MSMEs and that is the reason for the event, the government must look inwards to see how to enhance business environment for SMEs to grow as they are usually the highest employer of labour and a catalyst for economic development. He noted that with over 4,000 SMEs/MSMEs in Alimosho community with a well structured business environment it is capable of contributing greatly to the GDP of Nigeria.
The statement however was silent on a new date due ongoing consultations with all stakeholders but emphasized that the event will surely hold this year, they hope to host the second edition of The Alimosho Economic Summit next year. He further requested more businesses to embrace the event which will further enhance their businesses in a short distance. He reiterated that a new date will be announced soon .
