The publishers of The Alimosho Mail Newspapers and online has announced the postponement of its seminar on drug and cultism.

The seminar, which was earlier for April 7, 2020, to commemorate the 2020 World Health Day has been postponed, in-line with the State government’s directives which goes against gathering of more than fifty persons.

According to the publisher, Mr Abel Lazarus; the event was billed to host over three hundred senior secondary schools students, as a well meaning organization understands the importance of aligning with the state government in curbing the spread of the pandemic Covid 19. Moreso, it is more important to have the students healthier and alive rather than being infected.

Abel reiterated that “though the seminar is equally important as a corrective measure aimed at educating the youths on the adverse effects of drug abuse and cultism; however what we have in our hands now is much more crucial and requires all hands on deck to conquer.”

A new date will be announced for the event while noting that The Alimosho Economic Summit II scheduled for May 12, 2020 may also be affected by the trend of events.

He urged residents of Alimosho LGA to be more cautious of their hygiene and adhere to all directives from the office of the state governor and other related agencies to enable the state government curb the spread of corona virus.
