With less than six months of her successful hosting of The Alimosho Economic Summit 2017, The Alimosho Mail Newspapers are set to host the maiden edition of The Alimosho Insurance Expo 2017.
According to the Publisher and the initiator Mr Abel Lazarus said the reason behind Insurance Expo resulted from revelations made during and aftermath of The Alimosho Economic Summit, Alimosho LGA with over a hundred thousand of SMEs and MEMES in operation which represents a economic viability of the LGA, Lags State and Nigeria at large. These SMEs and MEMES are creating jobs for Nigerians and contributing to the GDP of Nigeria but it is sad to observe that these small businesses do not have any cover in the case of any eventualities.
There is need to provide or protect these businesses as any loss will add minimum of one job loss to the high rising rate of unemployment in Nigeria. More so, Alimosho is gradually becoming the new business haven of Lagos state and there is need to imbibe the culture of insurance to investors so as to sustain these economic and developmental growths achieved so far.
In his words “The Alimosho Mail Newspapers is desirous of attracting developments into Alimosho Federal Constituency and this is the driving passion and the essence of this event which is aimed at inviting all the insurance companies to participate in various categories to witness the potentials of their businesses in Alimosho and possibly build tailor-made policies for these SMEs and MEMES and off course individuals”.
We are pushing for securing these businesses which will in turn mean securing the Alimosho economic growth as measures will be in place to cushion effect of any loss in the case of any eventuality.
He further stated that the State government, the six Local Government Chairmen are expected to grace the occasion as major stakeholders while the Community Development Committee and Associations (CDC and CDAs) will be carried along to drive the campaign to the grass-root and inviting the owners of these businesses in their wards.
With estimated population of six million in Alimosho LGA it is obvious that there are embedded opportunities for the insurance sector of the economy to harness. The event is scheduled to hold on November 29th, 2017 at the prestigious D’Çubicle Event Centre along Lasu-Igando Expressway, Isheri-Olofin is strictly on invitation.
