To solve the problem of the perennial flood challenge in BenEsther, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon last week flagged off the construction of covered drainage for the 340 meter’s street.
The construction will be handled by two contractors, Sabisco Engineering and Allied Services Limited to fast track the project.
The Council Manager, Engr Dele Abayomi in his remark seeks maximum support for the contractors during the six month project.
Hon Jelili advised the CDC in the area to set up a three to four man committee that will monitor the project and ensure no one disturbs or buy materials from the contractor.
He further charged the resident to pay their rates to the Local Government especially the radio and television rate. He said “this will enable us to complete the project on time and do more for the people of Alimosho”.
Mr. Olusegun Akinwunmi, a resident of BenEsther appreciated the Executive Chairman for coming to rescue the people of BenEsther.
The drainage is expected to solve the problem of flood in the area.
