In a statement he personally signed and made available to the press, Chief Kalu said that in as much as the loss is hard to bear, especially for the Onuigbo family and the entire Abia State, he reminded everyone that only God’s will shall be done on all mortals and so the need to be encouraged by the good legacies he left behind as he prayed for repose of his soul to eternal rest.

He buttressed on the numerous achievements and contributions of Chief Johnson Onuigbo to the political stability of PDP family and Abia State as a whole, saying that it will take a serious work to fill the vacuum created by the death of the elder statesman.

“I am encouraging the Onuigbo family to cry like people with hope in God as only God alone can console them at this time of trial.

“I also encourage the Executive Governor of Abia State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the entire Abia PDP to mourn with hope of a resurrection.

“I also encourage the National body of PDP to bear the lose of such a great member as I pray God to repose his soul to eternal rest” he prayed.
