Prince Idris Balogun, also known as Oluomo, has finally broken his silence on his chairmanship aspiration for Egbe-Idimu LCDA. At a meeting with party faithfuls from the Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola faction on May 24, 2024, Oluomo revealed his plans to run for the chairmanship position.
Oluomo, known for his philanthropic efforts in Egbe-Idimu LCDA and Alimosho at large, assured the gathering that his administration would prioritize people-friendly policies. He promised to focus on youths and women empowerment, overhaul infrastructure projects, provide free healthcare for all residents, and ensure even distribution of modern infrastructure across the 5 wards in the LCDA.
Oluomo emphasized that his administration would prioritize optimal utilization of allocations and internally generated revenue for the betterment of all residents. He called on all well-meaning members of APC and residents of Egbe-Idimu LCDA to support his aspiration, promising to deliver good governance at the grassroots level.
With his extensive consultation and meetings with leaders and stakeholders in the community, Oluomo is confident in his ability to liberate the people of Egbe-Idimu LCDA to prosperity. His goal is to restore the lost glory of Egbe-Idimu LCDA and make it one of the performing LCDAs/LGAs in the state.
